Great Lakes Christian College is sending two student ambassadors to Beijing, China to participate in the Coaches Team International (CTI) program led by GLCC alumni J.J. Davis and Luke Elie. CTI strives to be an organization that will change the way sports are played, viewed and used worldwide. Not only does CTI hope to use sports to promote peace but also to promote friendly competition that will encourage positive development in students, athletes and coaches worldwide. CTI was founded by coaches who love to compete but also coaches who love to teach, inspire, and mentor.

GLCC sophomores, Devlin Jefferson and Maurice Jordan, were both captains on the 2012-2013 basketball team and each maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. They are viewed as leaders by their peers as well as GLCC faculty and staff. They will travel June 9-22, 2013 and are raising their own support for the trip. They are asking for both prayer and financial support. They need $3500 each by June 8 to cover airfare and expenses.

“We’re excited about the opportunity and experience that lies ahead. I hope you see the value in what we will and can accomplish, with a little help. We are very grateful for any support whether financial or in prayer. Prayer is the fuel that will allow us to be successful as we follow God's word, to minister in these countries.”
