That first win continues to elude the Crusaders, as they fell in two contests early in the week, ending a four-game road trip.

The team played their best game of the season thus far against NCCAA DII #3 Ohio Christian on Monday, in a back and forth affair that saw the Crusaders fall 90-82. Great Lakes held the lead in the game on four different occasions, the last of which came with eight minutes remaining. Maurice Hordan and Kyle Downing led the way with 18 points apiece, while Mike Vickers and lone senior Tyler Piercefield each contributed ten. Great Lakes had one of their best offensive outputs of the season, shooting 46% from the floor and 40% from beyond the arc.

The next night, the team struggled against Cincinnati Christian, falling 71-44. CCU took the lead right at the beginning of the game and never looked back,leading by 24 at the half before cruising to the finish.

The Crusaders will play at Rochester College on Monday at 7:00.
