The Crusaders were bested only at the buzzer not once, but twice to close out the Tip-Off Tournament last weekend.

On Friday, Great Lakes led 31-25 at the break over Northland International, but fell on a buzzer-beater; 67-64. Maurice Jordan had a double-double with 19points and 13 rebounds, leading the Lakes in both categories.

Saturday saw the Crusaders behind at the break, 43-35 to Maranatha, but they came back and forced overtime, tying the game at 68. But overtime would see the Crusaders off, as Maranatha scored with only two seconds remaining to pull out a 75-73 win.
Devlin Jefferson led the way with 17 points, and Jordan picked up ten rebounds along with his eight points.

The Crusaders got to Huntington for a rematch Wednesday at 7:00.
