BOOST – A Retreat for Ministers
July 8-10, 2024
on the campus of GLCC

You are invited! We want to give a “BOOST” to those who have committed their lives to ministry in the local church.  We are planning on a restful, safe, and inspirational  three days. 

There will be free time in the afternoons to do some neat things together (golf, fishing, disc golf, swimming in Nugent’s pool, and AXE Throwing)   No registration fee.  Dorm rooms are available with no cost or you can reserve a hotel room at your expense.  When staying on campus, bring your bedding, towels, fan (no air conditioning!) etc.

9:30 – Check in
10:00 – Workshop, Professor Sam Long, “The Intersection of Lament and Mental Health”
Lunch – On your own.
1-5 – Free time (golf/fishing/swimming)
6:00 – Dinner provided on campus.
7:00 – Evening Session with Jason Kemerly, Lead Pastor, Christ’s Church at Georgetown, Ft. Wayne, IN.  “Reigniting the Flame: Reviving the Evangelistic Passion in the Local Church.”

Tuesday

7:00 – 8:45  Continental Breakfast Available
8:45 – Devotions
9:30 – Workshop, Professor Charlie Starr, “C.S. Lewis on the Importance of Rest and Play”
11:45 – GLCC Update
12:30 – Lunch on your own
2:00 – Axe Throwing & Dinner at High Caliber Karting & Entertainment
6:30 – Session with special guest, Jason Kemerly.

9:30 – Workshop, Brian Baldwin, Dean of Students, “How to Create a Sticky Culture to Engage Young People.”
