This one-day golf experience will connect you with the Great Lakes Christian College mission and the mission of our Athletic Department. DESCRIPTION:October 13 & 16\, 2026\nGreat Lakes Christian College holds an annual lectureship called Restoration Appreciation Week at which two speakers deliver informative and appreciative messages about the Restoration heritage from which the College comes.\nCurrent students\, alumni\, and the public are all welcome to listen to the presentations.\n\n\nTuesday\, October 13 (11:00am) – Doty Center\n“No Book But the…New Testament?”\nDr. Sam Long – GLCC Professor \nDr. Long (PhD Asbury Theological Seminary) is the Professor of Old Testament and Dean of Online Education at Great Lakes Christian College. His academic interests include Old Testament worship and cult\, as well as comparative ancient Near Eastern religion. He has been co-hosting the weekly After Class Podcast since 2018. \n\nFriday\, October 16 (11:00am) – Doty Center\n“The Church Jesus Prayed For”\nDr. Heather Gorman – New Testament Scholar \nDr. Gorman (PhD Baylor University) is Associate Professor of New Testament at Abilene Christian University. She co-authored Lunchroom Theology: Pushing Tables Together in a Fractured World  and has published other works focusing on narrative and rhetorical approaches of the New Testament. SUMMARY:Pursue Retreat 2026
DESCRIPTION:October 16-18\, 2026\nA retreat for high school students to investigate their calling to vocational ministry or missions.\nPursue Retreat happens on the campus of Great Lakes Christian College. It is hosted by GLCC staff and professors. \nStudents coming to this retreat will be encouraged and challenged to pursue ministry-based careers in a church\, on the mission field\, or in a parachurch organization. Through worship\, teachings\, and small group discussions\, you will get the chance to grow deeper in your faith as you explore a future in ministry. \nA big part of ministry is relational\, so be prepared to get to know new people\, have fun together\, and connect with GLCC Professors\, staff\, students\, and local church leaders. \n2026 Cost:  $50 for early registration\, $75 after October 2. \nRegister Here
