Sports Management

Lead and Manage in Today’s Sports Industry

The Sports Management program at GLCC prepares students for meaningful leadership roles in both large athletic organizations and smaller, community-focused programs. Students learn how to envision, launch, and manage sports initiatives with a strong foundation in stewardship, teamwork, and strategic leadership. This degree blends practical management training with a Christ-centered philosophy, helping students understand how Kingdom principles shape effective sports administration.

Graduates develop the skills needed to plan strategically, manage budgets, lead teams, and steward resources responsibly. They learn best practices in program start-up, financial and personal resource management, board development, marketing, public relations, and organizational communication. The program also emphasizes servant leadership—teaching students how to build trust, foster relationships, and equip others to lead. Whether students aim to work in athletic departments, community recreation programs, or sports-related ministries, this degree provides the tools needed for long-term success.
